First, let me tell you what NOT to use.
Most department store products – think Spot Shot and Resolve – can actually create more problems for you than solve your spotting issues. Many pro carpet cleaners will have you sign a release form before cleaning your carpet if you have used any DIY products. Often these chemicals do not mix well with the cleaning agents used by professionals – and damage can result from the residue these chemicals leave behind when we begin the cleaning process.
What you SHOULD use:
If you don’t have any our totally safe and powerful Extremely Clean spotter we gave you, the next best cleaning product to use on your carpet is water; one of the most powerful solvents on the planet. You will be amazed at what it can remove. Using Extremely Clean spotter (or just water) and a soft, white towel, dab at the spot to prevent it from spreading. Extremely Clean has the neutral pH of water – but with a powerful cleaning kick to get out most of the spots you’ll run into at home.
